The CANOPIC JAR
No. 10
The Canopic Jar is an organic forum for multi-media expression with an emphasis on literary efforts. The online Canopic Jar is an extension of an ongoing aesthetic entity that periodically reinvents itself. Previous productions have included conventionally printed issues and a live stage show, among other ventures.

CANOPIC PUBLISHING
Production on the inaugural title for Canopic Publishing is progressing slowly but spiritedly. The View from My Ridge, a collection of autobiographical essays and other writings by Charles E. Rice, is currently in the talented hands of Doug & Lynn Welch of the WordShop in Nellysford, Virginia (wordshop@msn.com). These folks are book designers and typesetters extraordinaire, and their involvement adds to the excitement of the book's publication. The official publication date for The View from My Ridge is JUNE 5, 2003.

For an idea of what The View from My Ridge is about, read a draft of Phil Rice's Preface for the book.

More publication info regarding this and other upcoming Canopic Publishing projects will be posted on this page periodically.

For those who missed it, The Canopic Jar #9, featuring writing by Mary Sue Koeppel, David Greenberger, Charles Rice, P. A. Merrill, and Doug Hoekstra, is still available for viewing.
The editors of Canopic Jar are Phil Rice and P. A. Merrill, with design and layout by Phil Rice. (editor@canopicjar.com)

The artwork for Canopic Jar #10, except as noted, is by Cesar Biojo
