Warren Denney ("Wooden Loveletter," p. 17) has had songs recorded by Hank Williams III (on Curb), Tomi Lunsford (Veracity/Germany) and the mythical Tom House (Catamount). Songs co-written with Lunsford have been compared to the Carter Family's (No Depression and the Nashville Scene, Bill Friskics-Warren) and hailed as fine Southern gothic prose in the Faulknerian tradition by the Washington Post. Poems have appeared in Voices (Williamson Co. Literary Review, Cool Springs Press), among others.  Denney has also written features for the Tennessean, Guitar Player Magazine, Bone Music Magazine and several sports publications.
